Begin with space and access
Multi-split systems place an indoor unit in each served room and can work well where ceiling voids are limited. Ducted systems hide more of the equipment but need suitable routes, return air and service access.
Think about how independently rooms are used, how visible equipment may be and how future maintenance will reach filters and components. A site assessment should compare those trade-offs in the actual property.
